If you have had recent lab work done within the last 6 months, you will need to email these for review.
If you have not had any recent lab work, we can order this through Quest Diagnostics for a fee. After your lab work has been received or resulted, our NP will call you to schedule you for an office or virtual appt.

Schedule an appt with any Quest Diagnostics center or walk in. The lab orders will be in their electronic system. No need to bring anything other than your photo ID.
Once your labs have been drawn, text 813-419-2506 to let us know so that we can expect to see your results in our quest provider portal.
Once your labs have resulted, someone will be in contact to schedule your consult or discuss your labs to clear you to start our weight loss program (if consult was already done)
If you are doing basic labs ordered by us for weight management- these will take about 2 days to result through our Quest portal. If you choose to do a comprehensive panel for Hormone levels- these typically take about 1-2 weeks to finalize.
You will be sent an email with a medical history intake/consent form that will need to be filled out prior to meeting with our Provider.
Initially you will start at a lower dose determined by the provider based on your medical history, labs, and weight loss goals. Titration of the medications are very individualized and based on weight loss progression and tolerance of side effects from the medication. Follow ups are typically every 2 weeks after initial start of the medication, or weekly if you are coming into the office for your injections.
Dosage adjustment: Our provider will start you on a lower dose initially and gradually increase it to the effective dose which is individualized to you based on your weight loss progression and tolerance of the medication.
A1C reduction: Semaglutide is effective in reducing HbA1c levels, an indicator of long-term blood sugar control.
Common side effects of Semaglutide/Tirzepatide:
Most side effects are usually mild and improve with time. They may include: Nausea: It is the most common side effect when starting Semaglutide. Taking the medication with food can help reduce nausea and may cause headache
Injection site reactions: Mild redness, itching, or swelling at the injection site may occur. Vomiting/Diarrhea: please report to our provider if you experience this
Feeling of indigestion: typically mild
